- All foreign nationals who want to enter Turkey for tourism purposes will now need a visa. This includes visitors from countries that are already part of the visa-free travel scheme (e.g. Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia), as well as Chinese citizens. Turkey Visa Online Requirements
- Non-Turkish citizens who hold a valid Schengen visa will still be able to visit Turkey for tourism purposes without a visa if they have stayed in the country for less than 90 days within the past six months. However, if you are travelling for business or employment purposes, you will need to obtain a Turkish visa prior to arrival.
- Foreign nationals who are not eligible for a tourist visa (i.e. those who hold criminal records or have visited Turkey multiple times in the past) can still enter the country if they have an invitation from a Turkish citizen or company and meet other eligibility requirements (e.g. holding valid travel documents).
- All foreign nationals who plan on staying in Turkey for more than 90 days must apply for a residence permit in advance through the Turkish Ministry of Interior’s website.

How to Apply for a Turkish Visa?
If you are planning to visit Turkey, please be aware of the new visa rules that went into effect on September 1st, 2016. The new regulations are as follows:
-All foreigners who want to enter Turkey for a period of not more than 90 days will now require a visa.
-To apply for a Turkish visa, you must first obtain an e-visa from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
-The e-visa fee is $30 USD. You can only apply for an e-visa if you have a valid passport and your trip does not exceed 90 days in length.

What are the Turkey Visa for Chinese Citizens?
As of May 19, 2018, Chinese citizens no longer require a visa to travel to Turkey. This new policy was implemented in response to the China-Turkey Intergovernmental Agreement on visas, which entered into force on March 18, 2018.
Previously, Chinese citizens needed a visa to visit Turkey. The validity of this visa depended on your nationality and the purpose of your trip. If you were travelling for tourism purposes only (i.e., not working or studying), the visa would be valid for up to 30 days. If you were travelling for other reasons (working or studying), the visa would be valid for 90 days. Additionally, if you were travelling as part of a group consisting of five people or more, the visa would be valid for 180 days.
Now that Turkish nationals no longer require a visa to visit China, Chinese tourists are now able to visit Turkey without any restrictions whatsoever. This means that Chinese tourists can now explore all of Turkey’s beautiful attractions without having to worry about their visas.
