India has launched a new visa scheme for long-term residents of the Netherlands who want to visit India. While this sounds like an amazing alternative to going through all the red tape and waiting times, there are some small details you should know that make this plan a little complicated. About the Dutch Immigration and Visa Process
The Dutch immigration and visa process is straightforward for Indian citizens. The most important requirement is a valid passport, which must be valid for at least six months beyond the desired stay in the Netherlands. Indian citizens also need a visa to enter the Netherlands. The Dutch Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND) offers three types of visas: a tourist visa, an employment visa, or a student visa. The tourist visa is the easiest to obtain and allows visitors to stay for up to 90 days. It can be obtained at any Dutch embassy or consulate abroad. The employment visa allows foreign workers to stay in the Netherlands for a fixed period of time, typically six months. Applicants must have a job offer from a Dutch company and must have worked in an eligible field before applying for the visa. The student visa is intended for students who are studying in Dutch universities or colleges and will be staying in the Netherlands for more than 30 days. 30 Day Indian EVISA
The Indian visa for the Netherlands citizens is valid for 3 months and can be extended for another 3 months. The Indian visa can be obtained from the Dutch embassy or consulate in India. The fee for the Indian visa is €60. The Indian visa can also be issued on a temporary basis, which means that it can be valid for a period of up to 6 months. The Indian visa must be valid when travelling to the Netherlands. If you are travelling to the Netherlands on a holiday, your travel will not count as part of your stay in the Netherlands and therefore your Indian visa will not expire while you are away. Your Indian visa will expire 3 days after your return from Netherlands.
Dutch Immigration and Visa Process
The process of obtaining a visa to visit the Netherlands is relatively straightforward. Indian nationals require a visa in order to travel to the Netherlands, which can be obtained from Dutch embassy or consulate offices. The Dutch Immigration and Asylum Service (DIMIA) processes visas for Indian nationals.
Indian EVISA (Electronic Visa Issuance System) cards are valid for 180 days from the date of issuance. However, the card cannot be used until it has been activated by entering the Visa Code located at the front of the card. Once activated, the card can be used at any Dutch visa-issuing office. 30 Day Dutch EVISA
Netherlands citizens can apply for a tourist visa for India at the Netherlands embassy or consulate in their home country. The visa will be valid for up to 90 days and must be used within a 180-day period from the date of issuance. Indian EVISA holders cannot stay more than 90 days in any 180-day period.
Indian EVISA holders must also carry a passport, official identification document, and return ticket. They are not allowed to work or study in the Netherlands while on a tourist visa.
